Build a career. Build a case for staying

Canada's employer driven immigration programs all start in the same place. A real job, with a real employer, that keeps real records. That is what we are, and we support the people who work here through the process.

Our floor is from everywhere

Bangladesh, India, Nigeria, Morocco, Pakistan, Nepal, the United States and Canada. Different passports, same standard at the door.

What an employer can actually do for you

Not promises. Paperwork, proof and a job that counts.

Employer supportSocialRise Inc.
The job
Full time, year round, on the payroll. Base pay plus commission, in one of our four offices. Nothing seasonal and nothing casual, because those do not count for most programs.
The record
Everything you will be asked to prove. Employment letters on letterhead with your NOC code, hours and wage, plus pay statements and reference letters when your application needs them.
The permit
LMIA where a role qualifies. Some pathways need a Labour Market Impact Assessment and some are exempt from it. An LMIA is an employer application, so that part is ours to file. Which pathway you should be on is a question for your licensed representative, not for us.
The people
A floor that has done this before. Managers and teammates who came the same way, in a city where the cost of living gives you room to actually settle.
The referral
Licensed help, not amateur advice. For the immigration file itself we point you to a regulated consultant or lawyer. We stay in our lane on purpose.

The employer driven pathways

These are federal and provincial programs, not SocialRise programs. Here is the plain English version of the ones that matter in the provinces where we operate.

Atlantic Immigration Program

Newfoundland and Labrador. A permanent residence pathway built around a job offer from a designated employer. No LMIA required. You need qualifying work experience or an Atlantic credential, a language test, a settlement plan and provincial endorsement before the federal application goes in.

We are not a designated employer under this program. We are telling you because we hire in Newfoundland and we would rather you heard it here than found out later. A job with us does not open this particular route today.

Rural Community Immigration Pilot

Sudbury is a participating community. The RCIP runs on two keys. A job offer from an employer the community has designated, and a separate recommendation from the community itself. Each community publishes its own list of priority occupations, and that list decides who qualifies.

We are a designated employer under Sudbury's RCIP, and the roles we hire for are covered. That is the employer half of it. The community still makes its own recommendation on your application, and priority lists get reviewed — so confirm where things stand before you count on it.

Provincial nominee programs

Ontario, Alberta and Newfoundland each run their own. Alberta's Opportunity Stream is for people already working in Alberta on a valid permit with a full time offer from their employer. Ontario and Newfoundland run employer job offer streams of their own. A nomination is not PR on its own, it is what you take to the federal application.

Work permits and LMIA

The step before the step. Many people arrive on a study permit, a post graduation work permit or a spousal permit. Some routes need an LMIA from the employer, others are exempt. Which one applies depends on your status, your occupation and the province, and it needs to be checked properly before anyone makes plans.

Programs change. Occupation lists, language minimums and community requirements are updated regularly by IRCC and the provinces. Always check the official source at canada.ca and your provincial program site before you act on anything you read here.

What we will never tell you

Read this part twice, because plenty of people in this country will tell you the opposite.

  • Nobody can guarantee permanent residence. Not us, not a consultant, not anyone. Only IRCC and the provinces decide, and a job offer is one piece of a file, not the whole file.
  • You never pay us anything. Not for a job, not for an interview, not for a letter, not for an LMIA. Charging a worker recruitment fees is illegal, and anyone asking you for money to be hired is not doing you a favour.
  • We are not immigration consultants. We are an employer. Paid immigration advice in Canada can only come from a lawyer or a regulated consultant, and that is who should handle your file.
  • Your job is a job. You are hired to sell, trained to sell and paid to sell. The employment is real work, and it stands on its own whether or not a program ever comes through.

How it goes from here

Same hiring process as everyone else, with the paperwork handled properly alongside it.

Step one

Apply and interview

The same application and the same interview as everyone else. We ask whether you are legally entitled to work in Canada, because every employer must. Anything you want to tell us about your permit is optional and never counts against you.

Step two

The role and the offer

If it is a fit you get the same offer as anyone else. Full time, base plus commission, with the NOC code and the terms written properly on paper.

Step three

Referral to a licensed representative

We introduce you to an immigration lawyer or a consultant regulated by the CICC. They decide what applies to your situation, not us. Our part is the employment side: the offer, the paperwork and whatever an employer has to sign.

Step four

Work, and build the record

You train, you produce, and your file builds itself. Hours, wages, references and a manager who will speak for you. That record is what every program asks for.

You are not a file number here

Half this company arrived in Canada with a suitcase and a permit. They run territories now.

As someone building a life in Canada and working toward permanent residency, having a company and leadership team that genuinely wants to see me succeed has meant a great deal to me.
Abraham Osarenren, Team Leader

Start the conversation

Tell us where you are. We will tell you honestly what is and is not possible.

Your immigration status — optional

You can leave this blank and still apply. We ask only so we know what the employer side of your file might involve. Which pathway fits you is a question for a licensed representative, not for us. It plays no part in whether we hire you — we do not use immigration status, citizenship or place of origin in hiring decisions.

By sending this you agree we may use these details to respond to you and assess your application. This form is delivered to us by an email service based in the United States. If you would rather not send these details through a United States service, call the Sudbury office on +1 (705) 885-0860 and we will take them by phone instead. We never charge candidates a fee of any kind.

Straight answers

Can SocialRise get me permanent residence?

No employer can. What an employer can do is give you real full time work, keep proper records, and support the parts of an application that require an employer. The decision belongs to IRCC and the province.

Do you sponsor?

Sponsorship in the immigration sense is a family thing, not an employer thing. What employers do is provide job offers, and in some cases an LMIA, that a candidate uses in a program application. That is the part we can help with.

Will you do an LMIA for me?

Sometimes, depending on the role, the province and your status. Some pathways are LMIA exempt, so an LMIA is not always the right move. We work that out case by case and never charge you for it.

I am on a study permit. Can I work here?

Possibly, within the hours your permit allows. Tell us your permit conditions on the application and we will be straight with you about what fits.

Do I need to speak perfect English?

You need to be understood at a door and you need to be coachable. Most immigration programs also set a language test minimum, which is a separate requirement from ours.

Do you hire outside Canada?

Get in touch and be clear about where you are. Hiring from outside the country depends on the program and the permit route, and we will not string anyone along about it.
